Mapset & Resource Bundle |
ABOUT THE HIKE The Northern New Mexico Loop is a 500 mile walk at the historic crossroads of the American Southwest, starting and ending at Santa Fe Plaza. The route explores everything from sere deserts to lush boreal and lofty alpine terrain, and uncovers some of the rich human history and present-day cultural diversity unique to this region of New Mexico. Hiked clockwise, the route first tours the Jemez Mountains and Continental Divide on a northerly tack, then joins the Sangre de Cristo Mountains for the return leg to Santa Fe.
